Skagway is a small coastal Alaska town and a common cruise stop. I personally love Skagway, and my favorite excursion that I have taken is the White Pass Rail Trip.
Skagway had a population of 1,191 as of 2020. Skagway is a cute, quaint town full of character and history. Many small shops are filled with unique art, gifts, and foods during the summer cruise session.
It is easy to walk from where the ship ports to downtown Skagway so even if you don’t have an excursion booked, you can have a fantastic laid-back day walking around the town.
